    Project Scope:
  • Conditions assessment
  • Architectural
  • Design for complete renovation
  • Construction administration
Built in the early twentieth century, the Kenan House was substantially re-modeled following a fire in 1931. A gift from the Kenan family, the house became the UNC-Wilmington chancellor's residence in the 1960s. When the previous chancellor left, the University saw the opportunity for a substantial re-modeling before the new chancellor moved in. HagerSmith Design carried out a conditions assessment for the building, then prepared construction documents and oversaw construction for a substantial renovation.
